The Basilica of the Black Nazarene is celebrating the solemnity of Christ the King. Most would only know about the annual feast of the Black Nazarene held every January 09. Another popular feast in Quiapo is the Solemnity of Christ the King which is celebrated every November 23. The approx. 4ft. wooden image of Kristong Rey de Quiapo is dark resembling to the Black Nazarene. I have been attempting to attend this fiesta for 3 years now. When I saw the photo of Kristong Rey de Quiapo taken by Mr. Glenn Inocencio, I was drawn to the aura. This year, I finally made it. Here are some photos of the fiesta. |
